KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) — Firefighters were called out to a fire inside a large bakery early Monday morning.
Around 2:40 a.m., a fire started inside the Roskam Baking Company on Broadmoor Avenue.
When fire crews arrived, they found flames coming from all of the oven doors of the conveyor-type oven.
Kentwood Fire Department officials said one employee was checked out for minor smoke inhalation, but did not need to be taken to a hospital.
Officials say initial damage is estimated to be over $350,000.
