GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD)– Police are investigating another armed robbery and now officials believe this latest robbery could be connected to others.
The latest robbery happened just before midnight at the Speedway gas station at Edith Avenue and Leonard Street in Grand Rapids. Police say two suspects had handguns and got away with some money.
No one was hurt.
The suspects are described as African American men who wore dark clothing and black masks. Police say because the descriptions are similar, these men could be connected to other recent robberies.
On Tuesday morning, Oliver’s Market on Kalamazoo Avenue Southeast was robbed. Before that robbery, Guddi’s Liquor Store on College Northeast was robbed on Monday night. A taxi driver was also robbed that same morning on Dennis Avenue at Baldwin Street. On Sunday night, the Ron’s Quick Stop in the 1100 block of Bridge Street was robbed at gunpoint, as well.
Police are actively looking for the suspects but so far, police have not made any arrests.
