Davenport University announces first ever football coach

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Davenport University introduced Lou Esposito as the university’s first ever football coach Thursday.

This bring Davenport University one step closer to having a football team, but it will be a few seasons before the team starts playing.

Esposito was the defensive coordinator at Ferris State University before being named the Panther’s first football coach. He also spent time as the head coach at Saint Joseph’s in Michigan and as a defensive line coach at Western Michigan University.
