NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WOOD) — A 31-year-old Muskegon Township man has been charged in connection to a Shell gas station robbery earlier in the week.

On Wednesday just before 1 a.m., a Shell gas station located in the 4100 block of Grand Haven Road near Airport Road was robbed.

A clerk at the gas station told police a man came into the store and threatened him with a handgun, police said. The robber told the clerk to put the money from the cash register into a bag. He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Friday, the Muskegon County Prosecutor’s Office authorized an arrest warrant for a man. The suspect’s name has not been released.

The suspect was already lodged in jail on earlier charges unrelated to the robbery.
