Options for independent living

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) As we move into the “golden years,” specifically retirement, there are lots of decisions to make. A big decision is regarding where to live; whether you want to stay in your home or maybe move into a retirement community.

MapleCreek offers different options for independent living. The Terraces are apartment-style community living. Residents have the option to prepare their own meals or come to the dining room. There are activities and functions, and residents in the Terraces have more built-in support.

The Cottages at MapleCreek are condominium-style living. The residents enjoy separate living areas, but also have access to the functions and meals at the Terraces.

If you’re exploring your options and would like to learn more about MapleCreek and meet some residents, you’re invited to their summer kick-off party. It’s Thursday, May 29, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. There will be live music and picnic food at The Cottages at MapleCreek. Space is limited, so they’re asking you to RSVP if you plan to stop by. Call (616) 452-5900 or email contactmc@lssm.org.

MapleCreek is located at 2000 32nd Street in Grand Rapids.
