Car flees from police, meth lab found inside

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A vehicle containing meth lab components crashed in Kalamazoo after fleeing from police in Comstock Township Saturday.

Deputies tried to stop the vehicle for a moving violation on E Michigan Avenue near River Street in Comstock Park around 5 p.m. Saturday, according to a release.

The vehicle fled and deputies found the vehicle crashed in the 1700 block of Palmer Street in Kalamazoo. When deputies searched through the vehicle, they found meth lab components, methamphetamine and marijuana, the release said.

The driver was taken to the Kalamazoo County Jail for outstanding warrants, meth lab charges, possession of methamphetamine, flee and elude, and resisting and obstructing officers, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office.
