BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — A woman is in critical condition and the suspect is on the loose after a shooting in Battle Creek Saturday.
The shooting happened just after midnight Saturday in the 200 block of north Kendall Street.
When police officers arrived on scene, they found 23-year-old Tianna Hunt in the front yard of the home with a bullet wound.
After speaking with witnesses, investigators identified 27-year-old Richard Denard Bozell as the suspected shooter.
Bozell is in a relationship with the victim and witnesses told police that the couple were arguing just prior to shots being fired. Bozell was then seen fleeing the area.
24 Hour News 8 found out Bozell’s criminal history goes back a decade, but doesn’t appear to have any violent crimes.
Police consider Bozell to be armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him and call 911.
