3 hurt in two-car crash in Portage

PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) — Three people were hospitalized after a two-car crash in Portage Sunday.

It happened around 12:30 p.m. at the intersection of Sprinkle Road and Nash Street, according to the Portage Police Department.

Police say a westbound Jeep Cherokee driven by a 71-year-old Kalamazoo woman was hit by a southbound Chevrolet Cruze.

The people in the Cruze — a man and woman in their late teens — and the Kalamazoo woman were all taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Neither speed nor alcohol appear to have been factors in the crash, police say.
