WATCH: Civil War cannon re-dedicated in Lowell

LOWELL, Mich. (WOOD) – Hundreds of people attended the re-dedication ceremony for a Civil War memorial in Lowell on Memorial Day.American Flag 052614

The re-dedication took place at Oakwood Cemetery, following a brief parade.

During the ceremony, a naval canon from the mid-1800s – which was restored by members of the American Legion after it sat in storage — was presented.

The cannon is part of the memorial at the cemetery.
