2 dead after crash in Carlton Township

CARLTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two people are dead after a serious two vehicle crash in Carlton Township.

The crash happened around 2:30 p.m. Monday on Coats Grove Road just west of Becker Road. Authorities say two vehicles were involved.

The two drivers, Heather Henney, 37, and Mary Ranguette, 81 were the only people involved in the crash and died from their injuries.

Barry County Sheriff deputies were on scene for hours investigating the crash.

Authorities say a 2011 Chevrolet Impala was going eastbound on Coats Grove Rd and collided head on with a 2005 Ford Taurus.

The crash remains under investigation.
