Man robs Walgreens, caught by police

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) – A suspect who robbed a Walgreens was caught by police.

A Battle Creek Police Officer saw a man running from the Walgreens on the corner of Capital Avenue SW and Columbia Avenue around 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, and began investigating.

Fellow officers checked the business and determined it had just been robbed.

Police set up a perimeter to the north of the store and brought in a K-9 unit to track the suspect, who was located in a garage near the Surby and Highland area.

The suspect was taken into custody and is being lodged at the Calhoun County Jail.
