Man dies after losing control of car

GENEVA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man is dead after a car crash in Geneva Township Thursday night.

The crash happened at around 10:40 p.m. in the 6000 block of CR 687, near South Haven.

According to a news release, investigation found that while two vehicles were traveling south on CR 687, the vehicle driven by Jason Woodall, 25, lost control and rolled over. Woodall was entrapped in his vehicle and died from his injuries.

On scene, officers also found a 20-year-old passenger, Cassandra Hayes, who also suffered injuries due to the crash.

While crews were treating Hayes, a 21-year-old man who was at the crash scene became combative with staff. The man was arrested for obstructing a police officer and the investigation.

The crash remains under investigation.
