Kzoo man shot, suspect fled in red vehicle

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — A Kalamazoo man was walking when a vehicle pulled up behind him and began shooting at him Saturday morning.

The 28-year-old man told police he was walking in the 800 block of Woodbury around 9 a.m. Saturday when a black male inside a red vehicle started shooting at him. Then the suspect left the scene in the red vehicle, according to a release.

The victim was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle where he was treated for a gunshot wound to the foot.
