Kzoo woman burned from meth lab failure

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD)– A Kalamazoo woman was taken to the the hospital with chemical burns believed to be a result of a meth lab failure Saturday.

Deputies responded to a home located on the 5300 block of Pavilion Drive. When they showed up to the house, four people believed to be inside took off. Police say that one person was seen carrying what they believed to be a meth lab.

The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office and Portage Public Safety attempted to locate the other people in a nearby park.

Inside the home, police found three active meth labs and several older used vessels.

The woman was taken to the hospital and treated for chemical burns, charges are pending.
