Shell casings, dice, cash found after GR shooting

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One man is recovering after getting shot in Grand Rapids Saturday morning.

The shooting happened just before 1 a.m. on Dickinson Street at Madison Avenue.

Police were called to the scene after a man in a wheelchair showed up at an area hospital with a gunshot wound. Police told 24 Hour News 8 it appears the victim was not the intended target.

The victim is in his 30’s or 40’s. His condition is unknown at this time.

When police arrived, they found several shell casings, money, and dice in the street. Some of the bullets also hit surrounding buildings in the area.

No arrests have been made. It remains under investigation.
