Man found after lost in woods near creek

MUSKEGON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A man who was believed to have possibly fallen into Cedar Creek in Muskegon Township Sunday morning has been found.

The incident started at 1:10 a.m. According to authorities, a 41-year-old man was with a group of friends when he jumped into the water. When he came back up, he ended up getting lost in the wooded area.

Dive teams were on scene preparing for an emergency water rescue and multiple agencies in Muskegon County were assisting with the search.

The man found his way back by following the emergency lights, and was discovered by officials at around 4:30 a.m.
