GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — Police are investigating a rollover crash that happened on the highway in Grand Rapids Sunday morning.
The crash happened shortly after 11 a.m. on I-196 near the Chicago Drive exit.
According to officials, the woman was traveling westbound on the highway when she lost control of her vehicle, which rolled down an embankment and landed on its wheels on a nearby surface street.
The driver was trapped in the vehicle and fire crews had to “pop” the door to free her.
Her condition was not immediately known, but her injuries appeared to be non-life threatening.
The woman told paramedics that she was cut off by another vehicle, which the crash.
The crash remains under investigation. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors, police said.
