Buy a coffee, send a kid to camp

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Some of the best childhood memories are made at camp. You can help send a child to camp on Camp Day at Tim Horton’s Café and Bake Shop! When you buy a coffee drink on Wednesday, June 4, Tim Horton’s will donate 100% of the proceeds to help economically disadvantaged children go to camp.

Camp Day was a huge success last year, raising nearly $12 million for the Tim Horton’s Children’s Foundation, which impacted more than 16,000 children. All of the children who attend one of the foundation’s six camps were selected from within the communities where Tim Horton’s restaurants are located.

This year, fourteen kids from the Grand Rapids and Lakeshore areas will get the opportunity to take a plane ride and attend camp out of state. The owners work closely with local youth organizations and schools to select children between nine and 12 to attend a ten day summer camp session or seven day winter camp session.
