BCPD finds items stolen in multiple burglaries

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) — Battle Creek police say they have recovered property from at least seven thefts in Calhoun and Barry counties.

Around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, detectives went to a residence in the 200 block of Cardinal Avenue after getting information that the person living there may have been involved in several burglaries.

Detectives were given permission to search the house, according to the Battle Creek Police Department, and found some property listed stolen after a Meachem Road burglary.

They then got a warrant and searched the residence again, finding items connected to seven burglaries in the Bedford Township and Urbandale areas and another in Barry County, BCPD said.

Detectives also found items that may have been stolen in other, unidentified burglaries. Among those items:

  • Laptop computers
  • Hunting bows
  • Antique silverware
  • Ammunition
  • Assorted jewelry and watches
  • Generators

One person faces charges in connection to the burglaries, BCPD said.

The case remains under investigation.
