Aero Med called to motorcycle crash

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A motorcyclist was airlifted to the hospital after a crash southeast of Grand Haven Thursday evening.

The wreck happened around 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of 128th Avenue and N. Cedar Drive in Robinson Township.

Everett Hawkins of Grand Haven Township was headed east on 128th when he lost control of his bike, leaving the road and hitting a guardrail, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office says.

Aero Med was called to take Hawkins, 54, to a Grand Rapids hospital with serious injuries.

Hawkins was wearing a helmet, according to the sheriff’s department. He was the only person involved the crash.
