HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — Two teens were hospitalized Sunday after a crash on M-40 in Holland.

The wreck involving a semi-truck and minivan happened on M-40 on the I-196 overpass.

Authorities say the minivan driven by a 16-year-old was northbound on M-40 as a semi-truck was exiting the ramp from I-196. The van collided with the truck’s trailer and became lodged under it for a short period of time.

The 16-year-old driver and 15-year-old passenger were taken to Holland Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The 69-year-old semi-truck driver was not hurt.

Authorities are still working to determine who was at fault for the crash.

The highway was shut down for a time as crews clean up a fuel spill from the semi.
