Man in stable condition after GR stabbing

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — The Grand Rapids Police Department is investigating after a man was stabbed Sunday morning.

Police responded to reports of an altercation around 1 a.m. near Fourth Street and Davis Avenue NW.

They later discovered a victim had been stabbed in the abdomen and had driven himself downtown to near the Buffalo Wild Wings restaurant on Ionia Avenue near Fulton Street Avenue.

He was then taken to Grand Rapids hospital by ambulance, where he was listed in listed in stable condition Sunday.

According to a 24 Hour News 8 crew on scene, police searched a truck parked near the restaurant. The truck appeared to have some blood on it.

A man has been arrested in connection to the stabbing.
