ALLEGAN, Mich. (WOOD) – A former Wayland choir director has entered a guilty plea in a criminal sexual conduct case where he was arrested three times in connection to three alleged victims.
Nathan Lavoie, 32, pleaded guilty Monday in Allegan County Circuit Court to one count of second-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct and one count of fourth-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct.
All of the other charges he was facing in the case were dropped.
Lavoie worked at St. Therese Lisieux Parish in Wayland. He was arrested twice in December 2013 and charged for allegedly abusing teenage girls.
In February, Lavoie was arrested a third time and accused of performing sexual acts on a 12-year-old girl in 2008, according to Michigan State Police.
Lavoie is scheduled to be sentenced on July 14.
