GR convenience store robbed at gunpoint

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Grand Rapids convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Tuesday evening.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. at the Miti-Mini Superette on Giddings Avenue SE, just south of Hall Street, according to the Grand Rapids Police Department.

An individual with a small handgun demanded money and got away with a small amount of cash and two packs of Newport cigarettes, police said.

Police were seeking the robber Monday night, but no one was in custody.
