GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – An advocacy group for the homeless is asking for the public’s help to find a Grand Rapids man who has gone missing without his medication.

Joseph Lucas, 19, walked away from his group home at Exodus Place on Front Avenue SW on Sunday, according to Servants Center, who is the man’s legal guardian.

Lucas said he was going to Louisiana with a friend, according to Servants Center. He also said he hadn’t been taking his psychiatric medication for a while, and didn’t have it with him when he left.

Servants Center said Lucas, who posted on Facebook that he might be suicidal, may actually be headed to Midland, Mich.

Lucas, who sometimes goes by Jose, is 6 feet 2 inches and approximately 240 pounds.

Servants Center said a missing persons report has been filed with the Grand Rapids Police Department. Anyone with information should call GRPD at 616.456.3400.
