NILES, Mich. (WOOD) — An elderly couple was hospitalized after a woman failed to yield at the right-of-way.

Cass County Police arrived on scene of a head on crash around 6:20 p.m. on Monday at M-60 and US-12.

53-year-old Marsha Kennedy was turning left onto eastbound US-12 when she failed to yield the right-of-way to westbound traffic, authorities said.

Kennedy was hit by a Dodge caravan driven by 75-year-old Richard Flora and his wife 70-year-old Ann Flora. The couple was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center.

Kennedy was treated at the scene.

Everyone involved had their seat belt on. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
