Trial for man in MSU student death

Marquay McCoy. (March 20, 2014)

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A judge has ordered a 20-year-old ex-con to stand trial for murder and armed robbery in the shooting death of a 20-year-old Michigan State University student at his off-campus apartment.

East Lansing Judge Andrea Larkin ruled Wednesday that there’s enough evidence to try Marquay McCoy in the Jan. 31 killing of Dominique Nolff of Middleville. Nolff’s 20-year-old roommate was shot and wounded in the attack at the Cedar Village apartment complex.

Police arrested McCoy on Feb. 18 for violating terms of his release from prison.
