LAKE ODESSA, Mich. (WOOD) There’s an adorable boy at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary who’s looking for his forever home.

Nekko is a one-and-a-half-year-old Border Collie and Australian Cattle Dog Mix. The kind folks at Mackenzie’s think he acts a lot like a puppy. Nekko came in full of parasites; his past owner did not take the best care of him. But he is good with kids, cats, and other dogs.

Nekko and the staff are working on his commands and markers right now. He has a lot of puppy energy, and is very willing to learn. Nekko does need a home that understands that his breed definitely needs a job to do. He would love a big yard and an active family.

To learn how you can meet Nekko, contact Mackenzie’s to set up a visit at their place. They’ll also set up a visit with him or another dog of your choice in your home to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.

The cost of adopting is $150 and Mackenzie’s helps dogs find homes within an area 150 miles of Lake Odessa.
