OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Crews are on scene of a crash where authorities said at least one person had to be extricated from a vehicle.
The crash occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday and Northbound 131 was completely closed for nearly a hour at M-43 (West Main Street) in Oshtemo Township.
There were four vehicles involved in the crash and three people were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to first responders who were at the scene of the accident.
Construction is just north of where the accident occurred and traffic was merging when a gold van failed to yield. Then the van rear ended a black vehicle. The black vehicle then pushed into the rear-end of a truck causing it roll over on impact, first responders told 24 Hour News 8.
The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office has told 24 Hour News 8 that US-131 is now open.
We have a crew headed to the scene and will bring you updates as they become available.
