GRPD: Suspect allegedly stabs man in chest

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — One man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing another man in the chest Saturday night.

The victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

Grand Rapids Police Department Lt. Mark Ostapowicz said the victim is in his late 20s and his present condition has not been released.

Police are still figuring out the cause of the fight that took place around 10:30 p.m. on the 1300 block of Hamilton Avenue.

The alleged assailant is being held on felonious assault charges, according to GRPD

Police have not yet released the identities of both men.
