Legendary radio DJ, Casey Kasem, dies

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Legendary radio and TV host Casey Kasem has died Sunday.

His family members tweeted that he died early Father’s day morning in the presence of loved ones.

“Early this Father’s Day morning, our dad Casey Kasem passed away surrounded by family and friends. Even though we know he is in a better place and no longer suffering, we are heartbroken,” said Kerri, his daughter, on Twitter.

The Michigan native was known for his “American Top 40” syndicated radio program around the country.

He was 82 years old.
