KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) Thrift shopping is big right now. You can get more for your dollar, and can often find some really cool stuff! Whether it’s clothing, furniture, or home decor, thrifting is a great way to spend less on items you might buy somewhere else.
Guiding Light Mission is holding a grand opening for its new upscale thrift store near 60th Street and S. Division Avenue in Kentwood. Proceeds from the store go to support the programs at Guiding Light, including its rescue mission downtown and residential substance abuse program.
The store is not your average thrift shop. You can find a lot of brand names, and nothing is torn or soiled. They have clothing, shoes, house wares, furniture, antiques, and even exercise equipment.
You can check out the Guiding Light Mission Upscale Thrift Store at its Grand Re-Opening Celebration from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, June 17. The store is located at 1435 60th Street SE in Kentwood.
