1 dead after vehicles collide, hit trees

HOPE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) – One man is dead after two vehicles collided on Stevens Road Monday night.

The Barry County Sheriff’s Office said that two vehicles were traveling southbound on Stevens Road near M-43 around 10:30 p.m. when they collided, drove off the road, went down an embankment, and hit several trees.

The 53-year-old male driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
