Summer Spain program

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Summer is a great time for our kids to take part in educational programs and there’s one such program that’s bringing kids here from Spain. It’s the Summer Spain program, part of the Council for Educational Travel.

CET is an exchange student organization that still needs host families for a 4-week and 6-week program with students coming from Spain to experience West Michigan this summer.

Students arrive June 27 and June 29. The four-week program is June 29 through July 27 and has activities every Tuesday and Thursday out of Hudsonville. The six-week program is June 27 through August 8 and has no activities.

All the students are from Spain. They speak English, are fully insured, and come with their own spending money. Host families may choose their student.

Interested host families can contact Christy Tripp-Arkema for more info. You will need to do some online paperwork, background checks, and CET calls 3 references and do an in-home interview with everyone present.
