MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) – A Ravenna woman who pleaded no contest to helping her sister try to hire a hit man to kill her husband received a six to 30-year prison sentence Tuesday.

Vickie Lynn Brill was sentenced in Muskegon County Circuit Court on the charge of solicitation of murder.

Brill’s sister, Diane Marie Hart, was sentenced to the same amount of prison time on the same charge in April after also entering a no-contest plea.

Police said Brill and Hart attempted to hire an undercover Michigan State Police trooper who was posing as a hit man to kill Hart’s husband.

The deal was recorded on video, which showed the sisters as they agreed to pay the fake hit man $5,000 for the job, offering jewelry as a down payment.
