STURGIS, Mich. (WOOOD) — Police in Sturgis say they arrested three people after finding drugs and “large amounts” of stolen property.

Wednesday, officers were tipped off to possible drug activity in the 1500 block of S. Centreville Road, according to the Sturgis Police Department.

When they searched the scene, they found “a large amount of crystal methamphetamine,” more than $3,000 in cash, and “large amounts of stolen property.”

A handgun, collectable coins, jewelry, electronics and tools were among the stolen property.

Sturgis police say the stolen items were linked to several home invasions in southwest Michigan and northern Indiana, and that the department is working with other agencies to get the items back to their rightful owners.

Three people were jailed on charges of possession of meth, delivery of meth, possession of stolen property and felony firearms.
