HOLLAND, Mich. (WOOD) — One of two Holland house fires this week is being called arson.
Investigators believe the fire at a home on 14th Street around 11 p.m. Sunday was intentionally set.
The home was empty and was being renovated by the landlord at the time of the fire.
The Holland Department of Public Safety is asking for the public’s help to find the person responsible. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 616.355.1150, Silent Observer at 1.877.88.SILENT, or the arson tip line at 1.800.44.ARSON.
People who contact the arson tip line may be eligible for a $5,000 if they provide information leading to an arrest and/or conviction.
Also Sunday night, a second home caught fire about six blocks away on 11th Street. Fire officials say they have not been able to determine the cause of that fire. They stress there is currently no apparent link between the fires.
