Protecting your IRA

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Last week, the U.S. Supreme Court made a decision that could impact the future of your IRA. The decision stripped asset protection from inherited IRAs. David Carrier, our expert in estate planning, walks us through what it means. He says if your children get sued, the IRA money that you left to them can be seized.

But there is a trust you can set up so that your children can get the full IRA, plus protection against lawsuits.

David Carrier has several upcoming LifePlan Workshops:

June 21 at 11 a.m.
July 3 at 11 a.m. & 3 p.m.
July 12 at 11 a.m.
