Deputies: Inappropriate relationship with students didn’t occur

SARANAC, Mich. (WOOD) – A Saranac Community Schools staff member who allegedly had inappropriate relationships with former students has been cleared of any wrong doing Friday.

The investigation by Ionia County Sheriff’s Department and the Saranac School District’s attorney found the alleged inappropriate relationships from over a decade ago did not occur, according to a release.

The staff member was placed on paid, non-disciplinary administrative leave during the investigation into the allegations.

The staff member will return to working at the district, the school district said in a release.
