Vehicle drove through stop sign, 2 injured

STANWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) – Two people were taken to the hospital after a vehicle drove through a stop sign, hitting another Friday.

Mecosta County deputies were sent out to a two vehicle crash around 6 p.m. on 8 Mile Road and Old State Road in Stanwood, south of Big Rapids.MecostaAx2

An 18-year-old man was driving southbound on Old State when he drove through the stop sign at 8 Mile Road, hitting a 43-year-old woman who was driving east on 8 Mile Road, police said.

Both drivers were taken to Big Rapids Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
