A summer beach bash with a message

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) Olivia’s Gift Living Center is making a change in the West Michigan Community. It provides apartments for people with severe disabilities. Beyond providing living space, Olivia’s Gift offers resources to help enrich each resident’s life. Art therapy, pet therapy, and music therapy, are some of the ways the center tries to supplement a resident’s life.

The center also provides legal resources such as advocacy, consultation, liaisons with government and mental health agencies.

Residents at Olivia’s Gift can have independence, an important ingredient in creating a healthy community for everyone.

Olivia’s Gift Living Center was a Connecting with Community Award finalist in 2014. You can help continue their mission by attending the Summer Beach Bash fundraising event on Wednesday, June 25, at The Score Restaurant on Northland Drive. Come out for live island music, dinner, beach buckets, prizes, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction, and plenty of kids’ games and activities.  It’s from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. Advance tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for kids. Tickets on the day of the event are $25.
