Grand Valley ranked first in the nation for community service

At Grand Valley State University, community stretches far beyond campus.

Grand Valley’s excellent community engagement has not gone unnoticed. Washington Monthly magazine named Grand Valley first in the nation when it comes to community service.

Grand Valley students completed over one million community service hours last year alone, and they continue to serve.

Cleaning parks and roadways, tutoring students, and volunteering at food banks are just a few of the ways Grand Valley students are serving the community.

Students engage in community projects and service learning opportunities through the Community Service Learning Center (CSLC) to serve our local community. The CSLC serves as a resource for students and student organizations.
