Authorities: $5K in stolen property found

HOLLAND TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — Two suspects have been arrested and one suspect is still being sought in connection to several home invasions in Ottawa County.

A resident of the 11000 block of Barkton Drive — near 120th Avenue and Greenly Street, northeast of Holland — spotted two of the suspects walking with flashlights around vehicles early Wednesday morning, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department said.

The two took off and were later found a few miles away in the 4000 block of Horseshoe Falls Court.

The sheriff’s department says it also found around $5,000 in stolen property, including laptop computers and cameras. Some of it was linked to larcenies and home invasions from Wednesday morning.

Authorities think the suspects may be responsible for several larcenies and break-ins of detached garages.

A 23-year-old from Holland Township and 19-year-old Chicago man are being held at the Ottawa County Jail.

Authorities are still looking for a third suspect believed to be involved in the thefts, but did not provide information about that suspect Wednesday.
