Meth lab suspected in Kzoo house fire

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) — Public Safety officers suspect a meth lab played a role in an overnight house fire in Kalamazoo.

The fire broke out in the 900 block of Staples Avenue around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday.

Officers found the second floor of the home engulfed in flames when they arrived. No one was inside.

Public Safety officers were on scene for several hours trying to put the fire out.

Investigators found evidence of methamphetamine production at the scene.
