MATTAWAN, Mich. (WOOD) Winemaking is big business for our state. Michigan’s 100 or so commercial wineries produce more than 1.3 million gallons of wine each year, ranking Michigan 13th in wine production.
It’s that production that attracts an estimated 2 million visitors to the wineries in our state. We have some wonderful wineries right at our doorstep in Southwest Michigan, along the Lake Michigan Shore Wine Trail.
Rachael got the chance to visit Cody Kresta Vineyard and Winery in Mattawan, which is about 20-minutes from downtown Kalamazoo.
Stop by and experience the “taste of Michigan” at Cody Kresta Winery and Vineyard at 45727 27th St., Mattawan, Mich. The vineyard is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon – 6 p.m and on Sunday from noon – 5 p.m.
