Visit the Windy City for summer fun

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) It’s summertime in Chicago and there’s fun and adventure for the entire family. Just one of the many things to do is to visit Millennium Park, celebrating its 10th anniversary all summer long.

Beaches in Chicago are truly something special that out-of-town visitors might not know about. There’s 26 miles of lakefront along Lake Michigan. Take some time to lay on the beach, rent some bicycles with the new Divvy Bike Sharing Program and ride up and down the lakefront, play some volleyball or have a picnic with beautiful views of the city skyline as the backdrop.

Chicago Summer Festivals are another great reason to visit on any given weekend and all festivals are free. Some of Chicago’s most popular festivals include:

Chicago Blues Festival                   June 13th – 15th

Gospel Festival                              June 27th – 29th

Taste of Chicago                            July 9th – 13th

Chicago Jazz Festival                    August 28th – 31st
