GR summer property tax bills mailed out

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – People who live in Grand Rapids will be receiving their summer property tax bills as early as Friday.

The City of Grand Rapids mailed over 61,000 summer real property tax bills, totaling over $172 million Thursday, according to a news release.

The city will start taking payments for the 2014 summer real property tax bills on Tuesday, July 1.The deadline to pay your bill without a late fee is Thursday, July 31.

People will be able to look at their property tax bill and pay online by searching their address, name and parcel number.

Unlike in 2013, the city was unable to consolidate summer and winter property tax bills this year. The City of Grand Rapids will be mailing over 61,000 winter property tax bills in December, the release said.
