Missing canoeing teens on White River found

NEAR HESPERIA, Mich. (WOOD) – Police say the 14-year-olds who went missing while canoeing on the White River northwest of Hesperia have been found.

An Oceana County Sheriff’s Office official told 24 Hour News 8 that the teens didn’t get out of the water in the spot that they were supposed to, and a search effort was launched.

Sheriff’s officials said that the teens were found further down the river around 3:30 p.m. Friday.
