Severe Thunderstorm Warning for SW Mich.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) — A Severe Thunderstorm Watch expired early for several West Michigan counties Monday night, but more precipitation was expected to move through the area.

There are thousands without power and damage through southwest Michigan Tuesday morning

As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, there were about 23,000 customers without power in Calhoun County, according to the Consumers Energy outage map.

Other counties with outages:

  • Allegan: 176
  • Barry: 166
  • Kalamazoo: 6,433
  • Kent: 300
  • St. Joseph: 4,224
  • Van Buren: 375
