GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) – The I-196 ramps to southbound US-131 will be closed starting Monday.

Crews will be improving several bridges on US-131 from I-196 to Wealthy Street, according to MDOT.

The eastbound and westbound I-196 ramps to southbound US-131 and the southbound US-131 ramp to Pearl Street will be closed starting July 7 and estimated to end August 28, MDOT said.

MDOT is telling drivers to take northbound US-131 to Ann Street from I-196.

Two lanes will be open from Leonard Street to Wealth Street on southbound US-131. The southbound US-131 far left lane will be an exit-only lane to eastbound I-196 at Leonard Street, MDOT says.
